Zonderhoof will celebrate 2011 by releasing their magnificent debut album entitled 'Hakken!' The album is a follow-up to their 2008 critically acclaimed EP and is a culmintaion of two years hard work, three weeks of which were stuck in a log cabin recording. Guitarist Damek says: "We took a minimalist approach to the recording, stripped it down and recorded live to an 8-track; room mics, bleed, snare buzz hum and feedback all thrown in. Then we overdubbed more guitars and fuzz to make it as lo-fi and unsterilised as possible withour losing oomph."
Expect the European instrumental stoner doom quartet - based in Wales - to continue to play live once a label and release date is secured.
