A blade that tears meats renders the idea of the marchiato sound Zonderhoof well, group been born towards the end of 2004 and reached before demo the two years after the formation. Max (battery), Didier (guitar) and Eight (low) convince with three powerful brani and dark, completely it orchestrates them. In order to understand like sound this floppy disk enough to imagine a paste of metal glacial, hard, groove rock, post Core and doom. The result is these pieces, than for inspiration and atmospheres are rifared to the slabbrato, aggressive and stiff style of the several Melvins, Keelhaul, Pelican, Capricorns. Interesting is to notice the origin of the band, the Ucraina, even if hour the three have been moved in Wales. Insomma, cold places that produce like natural evolution sound a much dirt and alarming.
'William the bastard' and 'Aldershof' are eloquent to such purpose: riff gruff, ritmiche corpose, violent dissonances. A sonorous phantom that analyzes hidden sides of the psiche human. 'Bulletcatcher' goes still more in depth, stretching to the noise and to the abstraction total of Neurosis marks.
Here, a group as this Zonderhoof we could very well see them on Hydrahead or Neurot.

Una lama che lacera carni rende bene l'idea del suono marchiato Zonderhoof, gruppo nato verso la fine del 2004 e giunto alla prima demo due anni dopo la formazione. Max (batteria), Didier (chitarra) e Otto (basso) convincono con tre brani potenti e oscuri, completamente strumentali. Per capire come suona questo dischetto basta immaginare un impasto di metal glaciale, hard, groove rock, post core e doom. Il risultato sono questi pezzi, che per ispirazione e atmosfere si rifanno allo stile slabbrato, aggressivo e teso dei vari Melvins, Keelhaul, Pelican, Capricorns. Interessante è notare la provenienza della band, l'Ucraina, anche se ora i tre si sono trasferiti in Galles. Insomma, luoghi freddi che producono come naturale evoluzione un sound tanto sporco e inquietante.

Ecco, un gruppo come questi Zonderhoof li vedremmo benissimo su Hydrahead o su Neurot.
