It is a pleasure when the plans of young people band come true. In 2006 Zonderhoof
had begun with a demo produced to an outstanding level. In 2007 they return
with a contract and published an EP with Sound Devastation Records. This
CD confirms the excellent inspiration of three (Max to the drums, Didier
to the guitar and Otto to the bass), to the taken with a magma instrumental
sound that it is put between glacial metal, post choruses, doom, sludge
and groove rock. How much of better fact from Melvins, Neurosis, Isis, Keelhaul
and Breach and intended today from formations what Omega Massif, Capricorns
and the local Slow.
The four pieces of the mini album run fluid and visionary. The atmospheres are dark and oppressing, illustrated, for example, by the long track 'All Your Witches and Bitches', nine minutes of wearing out, aggressive, raving to thump metallic. 'Bilge Rat' and 'Varkens' trample our body with inhuman volumes and rivers of blood, gotten from a thick blanket of riff and from rhythmic really paralizing for impact and variety of style. The conclusive one 'Zub' is the final seal to a devastating sonic adventure. From the Ukraine to Wales, Zonderhoof are lacking in nothing: violence, darkness, ancestral depth. You make it yours before it is too late.

È un piacere quando i progetti di giovani band si avverano. Nel 2006 i Zonderhoof avevano esordito con una demo auto prodotta di livello eccelso. Nel 2007 tornano in pista con un contratto ed ep edito dalla Sound Devastation Records. Dischetto che conferma l’ottima ispirazione dei tre (Max alla batteria, Didier alla chitarra e Otto al basso), alle prese con un magmatico sound strumentale che si pone tra metal glaciale, post core, doom, sludge e groove rock. Quanto di meglio fatto da Melvins, Neurosis, Isis, Keelhaul e Breach e riproposto oggi da formazioni quali Omega Massif, Capricorns e i nostrani Lento.
I quattro brani del mini scorrono fluidi e visionari. Le atmosfere sono cupe e opprimenti, ne fa illuminante esempio la lunga 'All Your Witches and Bitches', nove minuti di estenuante, aggressivo, delirante martellare metallico. 'Bilge Rat' e 'Varkens' pestano il nostro corpo con volumi disumani e fiumi di sangue, procurati da una fitta coltre di riff e da ritmiche davvero paralizzanti per impatto e varietà di stile. La conclusiva 'Zub' è il sigillo finale ad una avventura sonica devastante. Dall’Ucraina al Galles i Zonderhoof non ci fanno mancare niente: violenza, buio, profondità ancestrali. Fateli vostri prima che sia troppo tard.
